Enjoying Warsaw Nightlife

Warsaw Poland is a city filled with history and culture; however, it is also a city that comes to life after dark.  In addition to fine museums, art galleries, historical monuments, shopping and great restaurants, there are many things to do in the evenings.  When you are vacationing in Warsaw, remember to include some fun nighttime activities such as hitting the bars, dancing the night away at a club, taking a chance at a casino or attending an opera.

If you want to party the night away in Warsaw, you can choose from several casinos, bars or dance clubs throughout the city.  Casino Warsaw is located in the Warsaw Marriott – a lavish casino that is a favorite of jet setters and businessmen.  The Victoria Casino is another favorite of tourists visiting Warsaw.  If you would rather dance than gamble,Warsaw has several dance clubs.  Klubokawiarnia is a disco club with a relaxed atmosphere while Piekarnia has famous international DJs that play today’s most popular music.  Sports lovers will gather at Champions bar in the Marriott to keep up with all the sports scores while those wanting to listen to music and maybe see a comedy show will gather at Harenda.  Szpilka is the bar that night owls frequent (it stays open until 6am each morning) while those wanting a cozy pub will go to the Lysy Pingwin.

Warsaw is also well known for its entertainment venues.  There are many theaters, cinemas and opera houses that provide a wide variety of entertainment.  Enjoy a delicious meal at one of Warsaw’s fine restaurants before going to one of Warsaw’s theaters, operas or cinemas.  During the summer, Warsaw’s Filmowa Stolica hosts outdoor screenings throughout the city.  The Kino Muranów shows more serious cinemaniacs while the Kino LAB shows experimental art films and sometimes 50s science fiction films.  If you prefer live entertainment, The Globe Theater Group performs American and British plays.  Children and adults will be fascinated with the Gulliwer Teatr Lalek – an entertaining puppet theater.  For avant-garde, attend a performance at the Studium Teatralne but for a performance of one of the Polish classics, visit the Teatr Narodowy.  Finally, if opera is more your taste there are several to choose from in Warsaw.  The Opera Kameralna has exceptional performances in a 19th century theater that is equally as beautiful and the Teatr Wielki Opera House is a traditional opera house performing classical international opera and ballets.
